Message from the Mayor
Dear Residents of Hewlett Neck,
I hope this letter finds you well. As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our community, I am pleased to share several important updates regarding enhancements to Hewlett Neck's security measures.
First, I am excited to announce the recent appointment of a new security patrol service, RNSP (Rockaway Nassau Safety Patrol). RNSP is a highly regarded organization dedicated to community safety, and they will be patrolling our village nightly starting at 10 PM. Their vehicles are highly visible, and they will be driving slowly through our streets, focusing solely on patrolling our village.
RNSP's team is available 24/7 for assistance and can be reached via a dedicated WhatsApp group or by calling 516-858-7300. If you have a concern to report, their professional team is here to support you. Please remember, however, that in the event of an emergency or if you require immediate police assistance, always call 911 first.
In addition to the professional patrols, we are also seeking residents who are interested in volunteering with RNSP to help patrol the village during times when a paid patrol may not be active. This initiative provides an opportunity for our community to work together to enhance safety in Hewlett Neck. If you are interested in volunteering, please don't hesitate to reach out to RNSP for more information.
As part of our plan to modernize village security, we will also be installing state-of-the-art security cameras throughout the village. These cameras will be equipped with advanced technologies, including facial recognition and license plate readers, to better monitor activity and deter potential threats. This investment underscores our commitment to leveraging technology to enhance safety for all residents.
I would like to thank each of you for your ongoing support and cooperation as we work together to maintain the high standard of living that makes Hewlett Neck such a special place to call home. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding these updates, please feel free to contact my office directly.
Warm regards,
Mo Blinder
Mayor of Hewlett Neck
